Refund policy

Cuckoo Chalet (cuckoochalet.com) is operated by FBA Ventures LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. A cuckoo clock should make you smile every hour. If something isn't right, here is exactly how returns work.

1. 14-day return window

You may return most items within 14 days of the delivery date shown in your tracking information.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

• in new, resellable condition, with no damage, scratches, or signs of wear beyond setting the clock up to try it;
• returned with all its parts (pendulum, weights, chains, cuckoo bird, any loose figures or decorations) and in its original packaging, with the pendulum and weights packed separately as they arrived;
• accompanied by your order number.

2. How to start a return

1. Email us at contact@cuckoochalet.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the reason for the return.
2. We reply with the return address and packing instructions. Please do not send anything back without contacting us first. Packages sent without instructions may not be accepted.
3. Ship the item back within 7 days of receiving our instructions.

Returns go to our U.S. returns center (only after we confirm your return and send you a return reference):

Please write your order number and return reference clearly on the package.

3. Return shipping costs

• Change of mind (you no longer want the clock, it doesn't fit your wall, you ordered the wrong model): return shipping is paid by you. Use a tracked and insured service and pack the clock in its original box inside a second box, with the pendulum and weights wrapped separately. We cannot refund an item we never receive, or one that breaks because it was packed loosely.
• Our mistake (item broken on arrival, defective, or not what you ordered): we cover the return shipping (see section 6).

There is no restocking fee.

4. Refunds

Once your return arrives, we inspect it and email you the result. Approved refunds are issued within 10 days of receiving and inspecting the item, to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take a few additional business days to post the credit.

Your refund covers the price you paid for the item. Shipping to you is free, so there is no shipping charge to deduct.

If a returned item is incomplete, damaged, or shows wear beyond trying it out, we will contact you. We may offer a partial refund that reflects the missing or damaged parts, or send the item back to you at your expense.

5. Items that cannot be returned

Clock oil cannot be returned once opened. This does not apply if it arrived damaged or leaking.

6. Broken, defective, or wrong items

Cuckoo clocks are fragile. Please open your package and check everything as soon as it arrives.

If your order arrives broken, defective, or is not what you ordered:

• email us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@cuckoochalet.com with your order number and clear photos of the box (outside and inside) and of the clock;
• please keep all the packaging until the issue is resolved, as the carrier may ask to see it;
• we will send a replacement or issue a full refund, your choice, subject to availability. We pay for any return shipping in these cases and send you a prepaid label when a return is needed.

A clock that stops after a few minutes is usually not defective: it often needs to hang straight ("in beat"). Email us a short video and we will help you adjust it before you decide anything.

7. Exchanges

We don't process direct exchanges. Return the item following this policy and place a new order for the model you want.

8. Order cancellations

You can cancel your order free of charge until it ships: email us as soon as possible. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled, but you can return it under this policy.

9. Warranty

We do not offer a separate written warranty. Broken, defective, or wrong items are handled under section 6. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable law.
